Job Title: Sonographer - Medical Imaging, FTR (J0524-1165)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sonographer to join our Medical Imaging team at North York General Hospital. As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations and providing excellent patient and family-centered care in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all ultrasound imaging examinations
  • Ensure imaging equipment is in proper working order and necessary supplies are on hand
  • Record and compute supply inventory for assigned area
  • Correlate history, physical findings, lab reports, etc., with examinations required
  • Work under pressure in a quick and efficient manner
  • Demonstrate excellent clinical and technical skills
  • Work effectively with the imaging team
  • Operate all the equipment in the ultrasound area
  • Assist in training ultrasound students

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a recognized sonography program from an accredited institution
  • Current registration with the CMRITO is required
  • Current registration with Sonography Canada is preferred
  • Strong medical imaging background
  • Minimum one year as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer preferred
  • Hospital experience an asset
  • Bilingualism in French/English is an asset
