About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Supervisor to join our team in Regina. As a key member of our Ground Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of our geotechnical laboratory and working closely with clients, contractors, and our team to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the operation of the Regina geotechnical laboratory and develop its ongoing capabilities.
  • Provide technical mentorship and support to junior staff.
  • Schedule lab technicians to complete lab and field testing programs in a timely manner.
  • Review and report geotechnical test results and field reporting.
  • Be familiar with ASTM, AASHTO, and CSA geotechnical testing procedures.
  • Manage and review projects from proposal to completion, including budget allocation, personnel, and resources.
  • Coordinate with project management teams and other discipline leads to manage project deliverables.
  • Maintain and review requirements for CCIL certifications.
  • Lead and pursue new business and project opportunities.
Requirements
  • Civil Engineering Technologist Diploma or equivalent education or experience.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience, demonstrated leadership and management of projects related to geotechnical materials testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop excellent customer relationships, positive staff working environments, and new business opportunities.
  • Strong leadership skills with a genuine desire to mentor and develop individuals and teams.
  • Project Management skills, with the ability to track timelines, meet budgets, and schedules.
  • Ability to physically lift up to 25 kg repeatedly, as required, on a daily basis.
  • Ability to work in a noisy, dusty environment (indoors and outdoors) using all applicable Personal Protective Equipment as required.
