About the Role

The Canadian Institute for Health Information is seeking a highly skilled Specialist to join our team. As a Specialist, you will play a key role in the development of resources for clients in the implementation of the new pan-Canadian data and performance measurement system for organ and tissue donation and transplantation (DOT).

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, maintain, and provide a comprehensive range of products and services, including training sessions (in-person, live webinars, or recorded), data tool support documentation, reference manuals, and toolkits for implementation; develop briefs and bulletins.
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships with external stakeholders in the DOT field, including provincial and territorial health ministries, health policy organizations, data users, and other key stakeholders to maintain the relevance and quality of ICIS products and services. Provide expertise and strategic advice to support client implementation and develop accompanying documents in accordance with stakeholder priorities and ICIS data standards.
  • Communicate with ICIS client relations managers, legal services team members, and provincial and territorial representatives regarding data sharing agreements and bilateral agreements to ensure data flows to CanDOT.
  • Plan and prepare materials for internal mobilization activities, including discussion sessions, awareness campaigns, and CIHighway articles.
  • Develop a dashboard to track the implementation of CanODT by competent authorities, monitor it, and follow up.
  • Conduct environmental analyses and engage with stakeholders to develop and support capacity-building activities that will help stakeholders better use DOT data.
  • Participate in updates, reports, and presentations to internal and external stakeholders related to client implementation. Attend team and division meetings (e.g., chair and facilitate meetings, write meeting minutes).
  • Contribute to other project activities, provide support to clients, and offer training sessions as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in health sciences, health administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in the healthcare system, with a focus on data management and stakeholder mobilization.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a matrix environment.
  • Excellent writing skills and experience in writing training materials, information notes, communications, and promotional documents.
  • Expertise or experience in supporting initiatives related to data and change management in a healthcare setting, an asset.
  • Excellent understanding of Canada's healthcare system and knowledge of organ and tissue donation and transplantation, an asset.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to deliver presentations and training sessions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects.
  • English proficiency is essential; French proficiency is an asset.
