**Job Summary**
GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our Fleet Maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining our fleet of vehicles and equipment to ensure they operate at the highest level.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnostic work on a wide range of mobile and stationary equipment.
- Complete repairs on all mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, driveline, brake systems, hydraulic systems, and more.
- Participate in the GFL safety program and ensure compliance with all GFL and Fleet Maintenance safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure repaired equipment is properly tested for correct performance and operation.
- Utilize excellent organizational skills to complete accurate, legible, and descriptive documentation for all completed repairs.
- Install or fabricate aftermarket equipment and components as assigned.
- Communicate effectively with Shop Foreman, Lead Hand, and Parts Coordinator.
**Requirements**
- Apprentice or Journeyman Certificate.
- Experience with the SGI Motor Vehicle Inspection Program.
- Class 5 Drivers License with a clean drivers abstract required, 1A or 3A Driver's License preferred.
- Strong Mechanical and troubleshooting abilities on a wide range of machinery and equipment.
