About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to fill the position of Community Worker. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support and services to individuals and families in need, with a focus on youth protection and community development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide counseling and support services to individuals and families, including crisis intervention and case management.
  • Develop and implement community-based programs and services to promote healthy relationships and community engagement.
  • Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to identify and address community needs and concerns.
  • Provide education and training to community members on topics such as child development, parenting, and healthy relationships.
  • Participate in community events and activities to promote the work of the CBHSSJB and build relationships with community members.
Requirements
  • College diploma in social work or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in youth protection or a related field.
  • Fluency in Cree and English, with French an asset.
  • Valid driver's permit and excellent driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
