Job Title: Floor Covering Specialist

Elid Construction Inc. is seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our flooring installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all flooring installations meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
  • Install carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment
  • Physically demanding work requiring handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and possess hand-eye coordination
