About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fishmonger to join our team at Tavora Foods (Mississauga) Inc. as a Retail Sales Associate. As a key member of our grocery store team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Prepare Fish and Seafood: Clean, gut, and prepare fish and seafood for sale, adhering to high standards of quality and food safety.
  • Cut and Trim Fish: Cut and trim fish into steaks and fillets, as well as prepare special orders for customers.
  • Merchandising and Display: Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products to attract customers and drive sales.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment and machinery used in the fish and seafood department, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Work Environment

As a Fishmonger at Tavora Foods (Mississauga) Inc., you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on providing excellent customer service. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure to meet customer demands.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
  • Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
