Job Summary

Select People Solutions is seeking a skilled Power Engineer to join our team as a Senior Mechanical Systems Operator. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various mechanical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and operate equipment such as boilers, pumps, and dryer systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials and products as required, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Stack and organize materials neatly to maximize storage space and facilitate inventory management, ensuring accurate and efficient tracking of stock levels.
  • Assist with other warehouse tasks such as picking orders, packing products, and conducting inventory counts as required, maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements:
  • Valid 5th Class Power Engineering Certification (4th class certification considered an asset)
  • Steel-Toed Boots
  • Ability to lift over 20kg
  • Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to relevant regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
