About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cement Finisher to join our team at MCL Concrete Ltd. As a Cement Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our concrete projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Concrete Finishing: Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Quality Control: Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Surface Preparation: Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a flawless finish.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification.
  • Tool Handling: Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • Team Leadership: Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
  • Documentation: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate completion of projects.
Work Environment

As a Cement Finisher at MCL Concrete Ltd., you will work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures, humidity levels, and noise levels. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and perform physical tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide guidance to apprentices.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet quality standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, bending, and lifting.
