About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our Strategic Sourcing team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying changes to critical sourcing systems, ensuring high uptime and scalability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable, maintainable, and high uptime systems using object-oriented concepts, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Work effectively with non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, identify risks, and translate business use cases to technical requirements.
  • Think big and invent simple solutions to complex problems, and deliver results to ensure committed timelines are met.
  • Investigate and resolve issues across multiple systems and teams.
About the Team

We are a part of the Strategic Sourcing organization, where we design, build, and maintain large-scale systems to improve Amazon's inbound supply chain. Our team owns systems that collectively define what are a vendor's inbound supply chain capabilities and limitations.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
