What You Will Do
- Prepare detailed estimates for major construction projects, including material and labor quantities.
- Classify quantities according to standard sections and trades, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Participate in concept selection, equipment choice, and supplier selection to optimize project outcomes.
- Attend coordination meetings, site visits, and assess project complexity to ensure accurate estimates.
- Research and analyze bid documents to provide accurate estimates and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Verify compliance with tender documents and ensure accurate payment to suppliers and subcontractors.
- Update the database of subcontractors and suppliers, proposing cost-saving alternatives to reduce construction costs.
What You Will Bring
- A mechanical or electrical engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of building mechanics and a solid understanding of construction processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
