Job Summary

We are seeking a Labourer to join our team in Kitimat, BC. As a Labourer, you will be responsible for performing general laborer duties associated with road construction, including shoveling, raking, and handling small tools. You will also be required to operate equipment as needed and assist in the placement, moving, and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones, and other traffic control devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general laborer duties associated with road construction, including shoveling, raking, and handling small tools.
  • Operate equipment as needed, including small power tools.
  • Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.
  • Assist in the placement, moving, and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones, and other traffic control devices.
  • Follow instructions from your supervisor or manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Class 5 Drivers License or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience on a road construction crew is an asset.
Working Conditions
  • Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat, and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
  • Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis.
  • Use of Personal Protection Equipment is required.
  • Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.
