ENTRY LEVEL TRANSLATOR ROLE

We are seeking a skilled Entry Level Translator to fulfill a vital role at Massanutten Military Academy. The ideal applicant should demonstrate fluency in a minimum of two languages, outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently. This position offers both part-time and full-time freelance opportunities for a Translator. The chosen individual will be tasked with translating a range of documents and communications between English and various languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, French, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Italian. Furthermore, the role will involve proofreading and refining translations to ensure quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate diverse documents while preserving the original content, context, and tone
  • Review and enhance translated materials for precision and fluency
  • Conduct research on industry-specific terminology and translate technical documents as necessary
  • Effectively handle multiple projects and deadlines while ensuring high-quality output
  • Clarify project requirements with stakeholders and ensure their satisfaction
  • Uphold confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information

Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of professional experience in translation or interpretation
  • Fluency in a minimum of two languages, including English
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across all languages
  • Proficiency in translation software and tools
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Dedicated to delivering high-quality work with attention to detail
Additional Information:

Compensation: $35-55 per hour
