We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Worker to join our team at NorthSask Special Needs Inc. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities- Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account clients' dietary needs and preferences.
- Provide companionship and social support to clients, engaging them in activities and conversations.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfer, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Administer medications and assist with medical procedures, as required.
- Document client progress and report any concerns or issues to management.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent.
- First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, and Mental Health First Aid Certificate.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and perform physical tasks as required.
