Position Overview

The Warehouse Receiving Specialist is essential to the effective management of our storage facility, overseeing the intake, organization, and distribution of vital supplies and provisions necessary for our heli-skiing and heli-hiking operations. This role presents an opportunity for growth and advancement as the business expands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process incoming deliveries of food, beverages, and supplies, ensuring the accuracy of shipments and inspecting for any damages.
  • Unload cargo from delivery vehicles and move items to appropriate storage locations within the warehouse.
  • Maintain precise inventory records through diligent documentation and the use of inventory management systems.
  • Organize stock to maximize space efficiency and ensure easy access to items.
  • Prepare and package orders for dispatch, ensuring both accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with fellow warehouse personnel to fulfill orders and achieve operational goals.
  • Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and audits to resolve discrepancies and uphold inventory accuracy.
  • Follow safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a secure working environment for all staff.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by warehouse management.
  • Support the implementation of health and safety initiatives.
  • Contribute to sustainability efforts within the organization.
  • Participate in emergency response training and provide assistance as needed.
  • Support staff and guests during field programs as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in warehouse operations is preferred.
  • Experience in food handling is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license is advantageous.

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and handle equipment weighing up to 250 pounds occasionally.
  • Requires manual dexterity for operating office equipment.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
