The Juravinski Hospital & Cancer Centre, perched on the Hamilton escarpment, is renowned as a leading regional acute and tertiary care facility, featuring a community emergency department, general medical and intensive care services, and a comprehensive surgical program along with the Regional Cancer Program.

The CT Department at Juravinski Hospital delivers essential imaging services crucial for the swift diagnosis and management of oncology, orthopedic, and emergency department patients. This department is instrumental in supporting multidisciplinary care teams by providing high-resolution imaging that informs urgent and complex treatment decisions.

Position Overview

As a vital member of a Multidisciplinary Healthcare team, you will coordinate, execute, and assess Diagnostic Services examinations across specific modalities and disciplines. You will mentor and guide clinical and technical associates and students in a teaching and research-focused environment while delivering patient care that aligns with our core values of respect, compassion, innovation, and accountability. You may be required to rotate through other modalities and sites based on qualifications and departmental needs.

Our Diagnostic Services team at HHS caters to a high volume of diverse adult and pediatric patients and families, providing services around the clock, seven days a week. Our offerings include X-Ray, CT Scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Ultrasound, and Interventional Radiology.

Work Schedule

Days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays (on-call as needed).

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology training program.
  • Current member in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologist of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Professional designation as a Registered Medical Radiology Technologist (MRT).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Experience in a similar hospital setting with CT preferred.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and the capacity to prioritize in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  • Evidence of ongoing education and professional development.
  • Membership in CAMRT/OAMRT is preferred.
