Educational Requirements- Completion of a college, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university program lasting 1 to 2 years.
The position is based in a nursing home or facility dedicated to elderly care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients in participating in outdoor recreational activities.
- Provide various duties related to patient comfort and care.
- Manage personal care tasks for residents.
- Handle bedpans and maintain hygiene standards.
- Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist in lifting, turning, and positioning patients as needed.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of patient rooms.
- Oversee and guide patients during their exercise routines.
- Maintain an adequate supply inventory for patient care.
- Support patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Respond to call signals to assess and meet patient needs.
- Administer first aid in case of emergencies.
Ability to manage weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
