About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at H J Landscaping Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of various landscaping projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hiring and Supervision: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of 3-4 landscaping staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Project Planning and Estimation: Plan and estimate labour and materials required for each project, ensuring that all necessary resources are allocated and that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Construction Management: Organize and direct the construction of decks, decorative or retaining walls, and other landscaping features, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Material Requisition and Procurement: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support project requirements.
  • Problem-Solving and Quality Control: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Work Scheduling and Procedures: Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize downtime.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the landscaping industry.
  • Security and Safety: Basic security clearance.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, and ability to work 40 hours per week.
Language and Work Environment

The successful candidate will be fluent in English and will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
