Job Title: Landscaping Supervisor

H J Landscaping Ltd. is seeking a skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and supervision of landscape construction projects. This includes hiring, scheduling, and managing staff, as well as requisitioning materials and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Recruit, train, and manage a team of landscape construction workers to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Develop detailed project plans, including labour and material requirements, to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Organize and Direct Construction: Oversee the construction of decks, decorative walls, and other landscape features, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Plan, Manage, and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Coordinate and supervise the execution of landscape construction projects, including site preparation, excavation, and installation of hardscapes and softscapes.
  • Requisition Materials and Equipment: Order and manage the procurement of materials and equipment necessary for project execution.
  • Resolve Work Problems and Provide Technical Advice: Troubleshoot and resolve work-related issues, providing technical guidance and support to staff as needed.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure project deadlines are met.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in landscape construction or a related field.
  • Supervision: 3-4 people.
  • Security and Safety: Basic security clearance.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, attention to detail, and ability to work 40 hours per week.
