Job Summary:The Retail Store Supervisor will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning sales workers to duties, hiring and training staff, and managing cash. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff
- Assign sales workers to duties
- Hire and train or arrange for training of staff
- Authorize payments by cheque
- Authorize return of merchandise
- Sell merchandise
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Manage cash
- Conduct performance reviews
- 3-4 years of experience in a retail environment
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
The Retail Store Supervisor will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. The successful candidate will be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Language:The language of work is English.Hours of Work:
The hours of work are 40 hours per week.
