We are seeking a skilled Social Worker/Counsellor to join our team at BC Cancer in Kelowna, BC.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide psychosocial support to cancer patients and their families, working closely with the Clinical Coordinator, Patient and Family Counselling. This role involves screening, assessing, and counselling patients and families, as well as facilitating group programs to meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide consultation to other disciplines and work as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
- Participate in planning and development of educational activities in the Centre/Provincially, designated Community Oncology Network and/or outreach programs.
- Provide clinical guidance to students and volunteers as required.
- Participate in and promote research projects as directed.
- Master's degree in a social sciences discipline relevant to the job from a recognized program.
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience working in an interdisciplinary setting.
- Eligible for registration with designated professional regulatory body.
