Groupe Brunet, a leading manufacturer in the PVC pipe industry, is currently in search of a qualified candidate for the role of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Plant Engineering and Management to enhance machinery and equipment efficiency.
  • Prepare and analyze production reports.
  • Support the identification of root causes for internal and external claims.
  • Ensure ongoing and improved production quality standards.
  • Assist in conducting factory audits.
  • Participate in production trials.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for production efficiency.
  • Engage in research aimed at modernizing and enhancing existing equipment and processes.
  • Contribute to studies for potential rationalization investments.
  • Develop procedures for root cause corrective actions in production troubleshooting.
  • Help establish standard startup processing conditions for various pipe sizes.
  • Assist in formulating procedures for extrusion tooling routing and maintenance.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering disciplines such as Industrial, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable team player.
  • Resilient under pressure and capable of maintaining composure.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate thoughts clearly and manage conflicts effectively.
  • Occasional work under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to spend considerable time on the shop floor, requiring full physical and visual capabilities.
  • Ability to work in a sometimes dusty environment.
  • Above-average mathematical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in computer skills, particularly in Microsoft applications.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Compensation: $38.46 per hour.

Benefits: Includes a pension plan and a comprehensive group insurance plan covering health, dental, long-term disability, and life insurance.

Additional Benefits: The company provides work clothing and a work boot allowance of C$200 per year.

Vacation: 3 weeks of paid vacation.

Employment Duration: 2 years.
