Position Overview:
Emergency Medical Communications Specialist (EMCS)

The Emergency Medical Communications Specialist (EMCS) plays a vital role in providing prompt support during critical medical emergencies. Operating within a dynamic call center environment, the EMCS serves as an essential intermediary between callers, dispatch personnel, and healthcare providers.

  • Exhibits outstanding customer service skills in high-pressure situations, adjusting swiftly to evolving scenarios.
  • Efficiently prioritizes tasks and resolves issues while ensuring effective communication.
  • Fosters teamwork and showcases leadership capabilities within the organization.
  • Displays a deep understanding and respect for Indigenous culture and history.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent education
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certifications are mandatory
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service roles

Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of Indigenous Cultural Safety practices
  • Experience in a call center setting is advantageous

Recruitment Process:

  • Candidates selected for consideration will participate in virtual assessments and personality evaluations.
  • Following the assessments, candidates will engage in an observation shift and a behavioral interview.
