Head of Project Management and Engineering Excellence

Its services are divided into four main areas of expertise: project management and engineering, water treatment, manufacturing, and industrial services.
With considerable growth, the company now employs over 300 individuals across six office locations.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Vice-President of Operations, the Head of Project Management and Engineering Excellence will be accountable for overseeing all operational activities to meet corporate goals. The director will collaborate closely with a skilled and dedicated team to successfully deliver projects.
Key Responsibilities- Management
- Ensure effective operations management;
- Oversee communication processes efficiently;
- Manage production activities effectively;
- Engage with and support team members;
- Contribute to various committees within the organization;
- Implement processes for ongoing improvement.
- Communication
- Foster team unity and morale;
- Uphold the company's core values;
- Participate in employee development initiatives.
- Sales
- Achieve revenue targets for the department;
- Coordinate and fulfill necessary sales activities;
- Develop a comprehensive sales strategy;
- Monitor and report on weekly outcomes.
- Delivery
- Coordinate project deliverables for clients;
- Ensure compliance and client satisfaction;
- Provide technical support to the team;
- Ensure successful project completion.
- Team Mobilization
- Maximize the potential of the team;
- Keep team members engaged in their tasks;
- Provide technical and personal development opportunities for team members;
- Conduct performance evaluations of team members.
- Qualifications
- Preferably hold a management degree;
- Must be a member of OIQ;
- An MBA is advantageous;
- Minimum of 8 years of management experience with team leadership;
- Experience in the mining or forestry industry is beneficial;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
