About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Landscaping Professional to join our team at MAPLEWOOD LANDSCAPING LTD. as a key member of our outdoor maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement the incorporation of landscape structures to enhance the aesthetic appeal of our clients' properties.
  • Trim and prune trees to achieve the desired objectives, including crown cleaning, thinning, raising, reduction, restoration, espalier pruning, and vista pruning.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens to ensure their optimal health and growth.
  • Apply fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides, and other lawn care products to maintain the quality of our clients' outdoor spaces.
  • Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and diseases, and develop effective solutions to address them.
  • Plan and coordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental purposes, and other uses.
  • Plant and maintain private and public lawns and gardens, and relocate trees as needed.
  • Remove trees and other vegetation as required.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in landscaping or a related field.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to use various tools and equipment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a variety of weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with steel-toed safety boots and other personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Client-focused and organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
