Nurse Educator

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Educator to join our team. As a key member of our Professional Practice Office, you will play a vital role in advancing professional practice within our clinical areas.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver education programs for point-of-care staff to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the development of high-performing interprofessional clinical teams.
- Assess and develop clinical and leadership skills of point-of-care staff.
- Collaborate with program leadership, unit managers, and advanced practice clinical leads to implement education initiatives.
- Support clinical staff in the implementation of patient safety initiatives, clinical policies and procedures, and the orientation of new employees.
- Monitor clinical quality improvement measures and contribute to program planning and research/evaluation.
- Registered in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current BCLS (CPR) certificate.
- Five years of experience within the mental health field.
- Specific experience with clients with severe mental health and addiction issues and/or forensic histories is considered an asset.
- BN/BScN degree and computer literacy are required.
- Previous teaching experience is essential.
- MN/MScN or other relevant Master's degree.
- CNA certification in psychiatric/mental health nursing.
- Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language.
