NorLand Limited, a leading provider of specialized construction services, is seeking a skilled Civil Foreperson to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced and safety-conscious individual to oversee the performance of our crews on various civil projects. As a Civil Foreperson, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of our crew members on site
  • Leading by example and directing the work of our teams
  • Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to provide clear instructions to the crew
  • Maintaining accurate records of crew and equipment time, material receiving, and production
  • Providing training and development opportunities for our crew members
  • Collaborating with Superintendents to plan and prepare for upcoming projects
  • Acting as a working foreperson as needed
  • Adhering to safety protocols and industry best practices

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 5 years of experience leading crews on civil projects
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices
  • A valid driver's license
  • First aid certification (an asset)
  • Physical ability to perform the demands of the job, including lifting up to 50lbs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances

What We Offer
