Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Specialist to provide clerical and administrative support to our departmental managers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily operations, including recording and reporting data, troubleshooting and resolving safety and operational issues, and creating and closing customer tickets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving safety, service, and operational issues.
  • Create, distribute, and close-out customer tickets on a daily basis.
  • Maintain and distribute department-related information on a daily basis.
  • Communicate with other supervisors and managers about operations and/or dispatch issues.
  • Complete and maintain a variety of reports as directed by the department manager.
  • Use software tools to manage procurement, time and attendance, safety incidents, and contract labor.
  • Assist with data collection and reporting required for incentive pay programs.
  • Assist with the processing of payments and other financial tasks as necessary.
  • Assist in the implementation of operational projects as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory duties.

Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. (accredited)
  • Experience: No prior work experience required
Work Environment

This role requires the ability to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) most of the work day. The normal setting for this job is an office setting and/or landfill.

The salary range for this position is $38,823 - $52,526 annually. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and short-term disability, as well as a stock purchase plan, company match on RRSP contribution, and more. Our employees also receive paid vacation, holidays, and personal days.
