Director of Care Opportunity

Silverthorn Community is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Director of Care to lead our clinical team and provide exceptional care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure excellence in resident care by working effectively with the nursing team and external partners to provide high-quality clinical services.
  • Monitor and implement clinical care processes to ensure individual plans of care are delivered according to resident needs.
  • Lead and implement key clinical programs, such as falls prevention, skin and wound care, continence care, and pain management.
  • Coordinate and monitor performance metrics for RAI MDS Program, Nursing Rehab, and Restorative Care.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Partners on infection control and coordinate monitoring of activities at the Care Community.
Requirements:
  • Compassionate and dedicated to meaningful work that supports seniors in living life fully.
  • Completed a Bachelor of Nursing Science or equivalent post-diploma education.
  • Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working as a Registered Nurse in Long Term Care.
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience working as a Registered Nurse in a managerial or supervisory capacity in a healthcare setting.
