About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and physically fit Heavy Duty Cleaner to join our team at Kenlar Investments Inc. as a Facilities Maintenance Technician. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our properties, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our tenants and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, Mop, and Clean Floors: Ensure all floors, hallways, and stairways are clean and free of debris.
  • Operate Industrial Cleaning Equipment: Use industrial vacuum cleaners, power sweepers, and other equipment to remove dirt, debris, and heavy waste.
  • Empty Trash and Recycling: Regularly empty trash and recycling bins to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Perform Minor Repairs: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems as needed.
  • Supervise and Assist: Supervise and assist other workers as needed to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform Safety and Security Checks: Conduct regular safety and security checks to ensure the property is secure and free of hazards.
  • Other Duties: Perform other routine maintenance tasks such as painting, drywall repair, and snow removal as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in cleaning or facilities maintenance.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in all weather conditions.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
