Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs
  • Develop pre-qualification submissions for client presentations
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ascertain work requirements
  • Utilize CADD and other software systems for project management
  • Calculate estimates for general expenses and overheads
  • Project cash flow and financing needs
  • Generate and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms
  • Employ quantity take-off methods
  • Advise on tendering processes
  • Evaluate tenders and recommend contract awards
  • Establish cost monitoring and reporting systems
  • Oversee and adjust contract expenditures
  • Maintain a directory of suppliers and trade contractors
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors regarding cost estimate adjustments
Technical Skills
  • Proficient in Spreadsheet applications
  • Experienced with AutoCAD
  • Knowledgeable in MS Project
