Job Summary:

Shawenim Abinoojii Inc is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Flight Travel Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and arranging travel arrangements for our staff, house parents, support and respite workers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and book flight travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and other necessary arrangements.
  • Distribute travel itineraries, including all relevant details such as flight information, hotel reservations, and rental car arrangements.
  • Ensure all travel arrangements are accurate, complete, and aligned with the operational needs of the organization.
  • Manage and track flight travel for no-shows and any freight overages.
  • Assist staff, house parents, support and respite workers in resolving any travel-related issues or emergencies, including flight cancellations, etc.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all travel arrangements and documentation.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with staff, house parents, support and respite workers.
  • Ability to handle and resolve travel-related issues or emergencies promptly and efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information related to staff, house parents, support and respite workers travel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 and proven work experience as a Flight Travel Coordinator, or a similar role in travel coordination.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, word processing (MS Word), Spreadsheets (Excel), and internet.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing travel arrangements and schedules.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, with additional language skills being an advantage.
  • Satisfactory Child Abuse, Vulnerable Person check and Criminal Record check.
  • Ability to speak Ojibwa language will be considered an asset.
