Position Summary:
As an integral member of the store's management team, the Automotive Retail Supervisor plays a crucial role in driving the store's success by effectively communicating business objectives to the team. This position is responsible for overseeing and guiding the department to deliver exceptional quality and service, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The Supervisor is tasked with ensuring that the team consistently meets performance standards related to customer experience, sales growth, retail execution, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Foster and uphold a culture that prioritizes outstanding customer service through effective training, supervision, coaching, and performance management.
  2. Hold team members accountable for delivering an exceptional customer experience and acknowledge those who excel.
  3. Lead by example, consistently providing an excellent customer experience.
  4. Implement and adhere to store policies and procedures that promote a high-quality customer experience.
  5. Maintain optimal department presentation through regular inspections and ensure compliance with store audit performance standards.
  6. Ensure adequate staffing levels through strategic planning and scheduling aligned with store budget and customer demand.
  7. Supervise and assist team members in daily operations to achieve established productivity targets.
  8. Communicate and ensure adherence to company, store, and department policies, including health and safety regulations.
  9. Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new employees, as well as store opening and closing duties.
  10. Coach and motivate team members in mastering new retail operational processes and skills to enhance performance, providing regular constructive feedback.
  11. Address issues and conflicts promptly and effectively.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience in retail sales, operations, and execution.
  2. Demonstrated experience in supervisory, leadership, or managerial roles.
  3. Ability to operate a cash register.
  4. Experience within a Canadian Tire environment is advantageous.
  5. Results-driven individual who thrives on meeting challenging objectives.
  6. Proficient in providing professional customer service that inspires confidence and trust.
  7. Ability to lead and manage a team towards common goals in a dynamic environment.
  8. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  9. Capability to motivate and coach others while providing constructive feedback.
  10. Ability to plan, organize, delegate, and follow up on team activities and projects.
  11. Problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities.
  12. Ability to multitask, adapt, and handle challenging situations effectively.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  2. Capability to lift and carry merchandise items regularly, with weights varying from light to heavy.
