About the Role
As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in enhancing, restoring, and maintaining optimal function for individuals across various settings. Working collaboratively with clients, families, and caregivers, you will develop personalized treatment plans to address their unique needs in areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate client abilities and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's goals and needs.
- Provide direct therapy interventions in a variety of settings, including hospitals, homes, and community centers.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Monitor client progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and hold a current license with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for building strong relationships with clients and colleagues. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is crucial for success in this role. Proficiency in French is considered an asset.
Compensation
This temporary full-time position offers competitive compensation at $42.06 per hour.
