Scope of Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our operation, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The CFO will also play a key role in developing our financial strategy, working closely with our Founder and CEO to drive business growth and optimize enterprise value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to ensure long-term growth and profitability
  • Provide financial guidance and counsel to the CEO and operating team
  • Manage financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Oversee accounting, tax, insurance, and treasury functions
  • Lead the finance team and provide guidance, mentorship, and performance management
  • Ensure compliance with securities statutory and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Manage cash and securities position, and drive initiatives to optimize financial performance

Competency Profile

We are looking for a candidate with a strong track record of success in senior financial management roles, preferably in a publicly traded company or a private investor-backed organization. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, or Administration, and a CA designation. They will also possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive results-oriented teams and build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

  • Extensive experience in senior financial management roles, including managing financial reporting and working with Boards of Directors
  • Responsible for raising significant capital in the past
  • Championed companies through various stages of an IPO
  • Experience in handling legal documentation, T&C's, LOC's, etc.
  • Knowledge of automated accounting systems, U.S. GAAP, and IFRS
  • Experience in managing, supervising, and leading personnel, including accounting, finance, legal, and compliance groups
  • Participated in or led commercial negotiations relevant to the company's business plan
  • Has worked in the high-tech startup environment and understands the technologies, environment, and challenges
