Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate, Architecture to join our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our leadership team, you will partner with our Edmonton-based team and leaders across Kasian to grow our sectors and help lead the delivery of high-caliber projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow Kasian's sectors and practice through business development and client capture plans.
  • Partner with the Edmonton leadership team to land and deliver projects in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Support the Managing Principal in his duties, including weekly staffing, time/leave approvals, and review of accounts receivable and work-in-progress.
  • Personally lead client pursuits and regional projects, ensuring profitable project delivery and management of project financial performance.
  • Develop innovative design concepts that meet functional goals within the project budget, providing design direction and oversight of project teams.
  • Stay up-to-date on design trends and new technology, serving as a thought leader in design and educating others.
  • Be an ethical role model and mentor, motivating others and effectively coaching staff.
  • Contribute to the Firm's 'DNA' by ensuring a high degree of creativity and expertise.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in business development in Edmonton and a track record of profitable on-time project delivery. You should have strong business development skills, experience in bringing onboard new clients, and a strong team player mentality. Experience working in a multi-office environment is an asset. You should be a Registered Architect in Alberta and have a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience.
