Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Recruitment department, you will be responsible for managing external recruitment efforts, sourcing candidates, and building a strong talent pipeline to support our organization's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities- External Recruitment
- Source and attract top talent from various channels, including online platforms, professional networks, and social media.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to create job postings, interview questions, and assessment tools.
- Candidate Sourcing and Assessment
- Conduct initial screenings, interviews, and assessments to identify top candidates.
- Evaluate candidate skills, knowledge, and abilities to match them with job requirements.
- Talent Pipeline Development
- Build and maintain relationships with external resources, such as recruitment agencies and job boards.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Administrative Tasks
- Manage employee files, including HRIS updates and new hire paperwork.
- Prepare recruitment reports and statistics on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Education
- Post-secondary education in business, human resources, or a related field.
- Three (3) plus years of recruitment experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Skills and Abilities
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct different types of interviews and assessments.
- Proficiency in human resource databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Candidate Management Systems (CMS).
- Experience with recruiting software and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).
- Personal Qualities
- Objectivity and ability to navigate challenging situations.
- Accountability and ability to work independently.
- Compassion and ability to advocate for others.
- Collaboration and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
The Recruitment department is a fast-paced environment that requires extreme attention to detail, stress tolerance, and the ability to work efficiently with distractions and frequent interruptions. Working hours can be irregular and extended due to meetings, special events, and career/job fairs.
