Job Summary:

The Tomlinson Group of Companies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Manage and coordinate with project teams, including engineers, architects, and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and control project costs, including invoicing and contract administration.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including owners, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and vendors.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, including training and development.
  • Ensure project quality, safety, and environmental standards are met.
  • Manage and mitigate project risks, including identifying and addressing potential issues.
  • Prepare and present project reports, including progress updates and financial analysis.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 6-10 years of experience in project management, estimation, and construction.
  • Experience in sewer and underground work is an asset.
  • Certifications in project management, such as CPM or PMP, are an asset.
  • Previous experience with MTO contracts and WBCMS system is an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced work environment, typically on large, complex projects.
  • Working on project construction sites or in an office setting.
  • May require working nights and/or weekends, depending on contract schedule requirements.
  • Will be required to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Exposure to construction site work environment in all seasons and weather conditions.
