Job Title: Junior Field Surveyor

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Field Surveyor to join our Geomatics team in Calgary. As a Junior Field Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting surveyors in field surveys, drafting survey notes and detailed drawings, and conducting on-field survey and record measurements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist surveyors in field surveys and ensure compliance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Draft survey notes and detailed drawings using software such as Trimble RTK and Total stations.
  • Conduct on-field survey and record measurements using GPS and other surveying equipment.
  • Coordinate with other surveyors on field survey activities and ensure effective communication with office staff and contractors.
  • Ensure quality assurance/controls and safety protocols are followed in survey activities.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or degree from a technical institution in Geomatics or Civil Engineering/Construction related field.
  • 1-3 years experience related to construction and/or land surveying field projects.
  • Experience using software and surveying related equipment such as Trimble RTK, Total stations, GPS.
  • Experience using Civil3D and the operation of drones is beneficial.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's license for day trips and own reliable vehicle is required.
