Family Medicine Physician

We are seeking a Family Medicine Physician to join our collaborative family practice team in Dartmouth North. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a team-based care approach, providing comprehensive primary care to patients in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities- Examine patients, take health histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures, and advise patients on health care and health promotion.
- Consult with and refer to other medical practitioners as needed.
- Act as patients' advocate and provide patient-centered care.
- Prescribe and administer medications, treatments, inoculations, and vaccinations.
- Report births, deaths, contagious diseases, and other health events as required.
- Participate collaboratively as a member of the team and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
Full-time hours are available for this position.
QualificationsEligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS) and certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) is also required.
