Medicine in Motion Clinic in Dartmouth has an exciting opportunity available in their Family Practice for a full-time Family Physician. The clinic offers a variety of sports medicine services in addition to Family Practice, making it a unique and dynamic work environment. As a Family Physician, you will have the opportunity to build your patient roster and provide high-quality care to the community.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Examining patients and taking their histories, ordering diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures, and advising patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention.
- Consulting and referring to other medical practitioners as needed.
- Acting as a patient's advocate and providing support and guidance.
- Prescribing and administering medications and treatments, inoculations, and vaccinations.
- Reporting births, deaths, contagious, and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements.
This is a full-time opportunity with a regular schedule.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will be:
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).
- A member of the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA).
