ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, including routine check-ups, health promotion, and disease prevention
- Ordering diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures as needed
- Prescribing and administering medications and treatments, inoculations, and vaccinations
- Reporting births, deaths, contagious diseases, and other health-related events as required
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
This is a full-time position, requiring a commitment to providing high-quality patient care during regular business hours.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will require:
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- Eligibility for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
- Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
