Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Smitty's Family Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Job Summary:
  • Lead the kitchen team and ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
  • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes of our guests.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, supplies, and equipment to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Train and develop kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Work closely with the restaurant management team to ensure that our culinary offerings align with our business goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordinate special events and ensure that all culinary aspects are executed to perfection.
  • Determine the size of food portions and costs to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked and ready for service.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances to ensure their safety and satisfaction.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they meet health and safety standards.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Order supplies and equipment to ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked and ready for service.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that the kitchen is running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to ensure that they meet health and safety standards.
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure that they are running smoothly and efficiently.
