Job Overview

Work Environment

The worksite may include exposure to various odours associated with metalworking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret specifications for welding processes
  • Operate manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated welding machinery
  • Inspect welds to ensure compliance with standards
  • Utilize brakes, shears, and other metal shaping equipment
  • Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metals
  • Assess the weldability of different materials
  • Fabricate or repair metal components using welding machines
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding equipment
Materials Handled
  • Primarily working with stainless steel
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of performing repetitive tasks
  • Must handle heavy loads
  • Physically demanding role requiring attention to detail
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
Weight Handling
  • Must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Experience Requirements
