AECOM is actively seeking a creative and highly skilled Deputy Project Manager / Design Delivery Lead for a full-time role that can be based from any of our Greater Toronto Area offices. The successful candidate will engage in municipal drinking water and wastewater treatment projects and related infrastructure, encompassing planning, feasibility, design, and construction phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a high-performing team in delivering complex multidisciplinary water and wastewater projects.
- Collaborate effectively within a team environment and communicate efficiently with project team members and clients.
- Work closely with the project manager and other discipline engineers to spearhead design delivery.
- Prepare technical reports, perform calculations, and make design decisions.
- Draft technical specifications, tender documents, and review design drawings.
- Assist in conducting technical quality reviews of project deliverables.
- Coordinate design efforts with various disciplines, manage project schedules, and monitor budgets.
- Conduct site visits during design and construction phases.
- Ensure continuity throughout the project lifecycle, from design to construction.
- Provide mentorship to junior technical staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience in the design and construction of municipal water and wastewater projects or equivalent experience and/or education.
- Prior experience overseeing and coordinating all technical aspects of capital works projects exceeding $30 Million CAD.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in the design and construction of municipal water and wastewater projects.
- Post-graduate degree in water or wastewater treatment.
- Registered as a P.Eng. in the province of Ontario.
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, along with effective report writing abilities.
