We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced instructor to join our team as a Continuous Instructor for our Welding Apprenticeship Program. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and training to students in the welding trade.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver comprehensive curriculum for the welding program, ensuring alignment with industry standards and NAIT's academic plan.
- Prepare and present learning outcomes and activities in a classroom, laboratory, and industry setting, utilizing instructional strategies that ensure efficient and effective delivery of course materials.
- Facilitate the learning process by utilizing educational technology for presentations, communications, and program promotions, and maintaining a safe and effective learning environment.
- Assess student learning and maintain progress records, providing early and ongoing coaching and tutoring to maximize student success and retention.
- Respond to student issues and maintain professional and ethical relationships with students, colleagues, and industry partners.
- Participate in curriculum development, program reviews, and course reviews, and contribute to the advancement and growth of the program and the culture of our collaborative and dynamic team.
- High School Diploma
- Completion of a Welding Journeyperson certificate, B Pressure and Inter-Provincial Red Seal required
- Welding Automation training and experience would be an asset
- Minimum 5 years recent industry experience after completion of Journeyperson ticket
- Teaching experience an asset
