Job Title: Logistics Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Manager to join our team at TULIP E-COMMERCE AND LOGISTICS. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our logistics department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Plan and organize daily operations to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Recruit and supervise staff to ensure that they have the necessary skills and training to perform their duties effectively.
  • Manage finances or budget to ensure that the logistics department is operating within budget.
  • Arrange for shipping documentation and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit to ensure that all shipments are delivered on time and to the correct destination.
  • Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods to ensure that all goods are handled and stored safely and efficiently.
  • Negotiate for services and preferential rates with suppliers to ensure that the logistics department is getting the best possible deals.
  • Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods to ensure that all shipments are delivered on time and to the correct destination.
  • Oversee the setting of transportation service rates and monitor revenue to ensure that the logistics department is operating within budget.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a logistics or transportation role.
  • College/CEGEP degree in a relevant field such as logistics, transportation, or business.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Work Environment:

The Logistics Operations Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload and will be required to work under pressure to meet deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
