Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Coordinator - Supply Chain Specialist to join our team. This role will be based in our head office and will report to the Centralized Purchasing Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Bill Of Material (BOM) coverage for our manufacturing facilities, ensuring timely delivery of products at the best value.
- Optimize inventory management for our manufacturing sites, utilizing best practices to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
- Develop and implement replenishment programs for BOM items, focusing on automation and process optimization.
- Monitor and analyze inventory trends to establish parameters such as minimum, maximum, EOQ, and reorder points.
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including Scheduling, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Sales, to ensure Supply Chain activities align with business objectives.
- Report and analyze weekly/monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), providing explanations for variances.
- Maintain accurate master data in our ERP system, ensuring planning records are up-to-date.
- Release purchase orders after validation of MRP recommendations, considering budget and demand forecast.
- Monitor Requisitioning Systems, analyze, and validate requirements, creating purchase orders for Direct Items.
- Manage KANBAN/Min-Max to maintain optimal inventory levels, ensuring sites have materials for daily operations.
- Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing on sourcing activities, contract implementation, and ongoing contract management and vendor management.
- Monitor and support on-time delivery of issued Purchase Orders through open order management tools and resources.
- Manage and monitor product complaints and resolution through Quality SCAR process.
- Support new product implementation process utilizing a Stage Gate process, led by Innovation.
- Prepare, analyze, and maintain purchasing/inventory management reports.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in Inventory Management, Purchasing, or related business experience (Indirect or Direct purchasing in a manufacturing environment).
- Well-developed supply chain experience with strengths in vendor management and strategic vision.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience in PowerBI is an asset.
