Position Overview

VIACON MASONRY INC. is seeking a skilled stonemason to join our dedicated team. This role involves working with various masonry materials to create and restore structures.

Education Requirements
  • No formal degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
Work Environment
  • Primarily in the construction sector.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and install bricks, concrete blocks, and other masonry units.
  • Apply stone or similar materials for veneer facing.
  • Construct and assemble prefabricated masonry components.
  • Perform tasks at heights using scaffolding or swing stages.
  • Utilize hand and power tools to cut and shape bricks and concrete blocks as per specifications.
  • Build residential or commercial chimneys and fireplaces using masonry units.
  • Restore, clean, or paint existing masonry structures to maintain their integrity.
Physical Demands
  • Job requires physical stamina and the ability to handle heavy materials.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and perform bending, crouching, and kneeling tasks.
Personal Attributes
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Dependability and reliability in work performance.
Experience Level
  • Minimum of 3 to less than 5 years of relevant experience in masonry.
