UHN Research is at the forefront of applied health sciences education, dedicated to fostering excellence in the training of health professionals. We are seeking a passionate and innovative Professor to join our esteemed Cardiovascular Perfusion program, which stands as one of the premier training programs in Canada. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a program that is recognized for its academic rigor and commitment to clinical excellence.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience of our students, engaging in curriculum development, assessment, and continuous improvement of the program. This position not only emphasizes teaching but also encourages collaboration with clinical and research teams, enhancing the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical application.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Cardiovascular Perfusion program with a focus on innovative teaching methodologies.
  • Collaborate with faculty and clinical staff to enhance program delivery and student outcomes.
  • Engage in scholarly activities and contribute to the advancement of the field through research.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a perfusionist is preferred.
  • Current certification from the Canadian Society of Clinical Perfusion (CSCP) or the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP).
  • A Master's degree in Cardiovascular Perfusion or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Active membership in relevant professional associations.
  • Proven clinical experience and up-to-date knowledge in the field.
  • Successful completion of a Canadian Police Clearance is required upon hire.
